Daniel Triggle began dancing at the age of seven in Bristol United Kingdom, for the prestigious Sean Eireann McMahon school. During Daniel’s competitive career, he claimed the title of British National Champion and taken a coveted 2nd place at The All Irelands, All Scotlands, European Nationals, American Nationals and The World Championships. He also competed in Ceili teams and Choreography, coming in 1st for the World Title consecutively for 2004, 2005 & 2006.
In 2006 Daniel performed in ‘Gaelforce’ and ‘Rhythm of the Dance,’ where he was cast as the male leading role. In 2007 he began touring the world with Riverdance, performing around the world in such places as the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Europe, Russia, Taiwan, China and Japan. Daniel has performed in some of the most famous theaters in the world, his favorite being Radio City Music Hall in New York City. In 2009 Daniel obtained his TCRG certification in Irish dance instruction.
Daniel moved to Raleigh, NC in 2012 and became head instructor at the Trionoide Academy of Irish Dance. During his time here, he introduced a strong Ceili and Choreography team program as well as helping many of the dancers reach new highs in their competitive careers. In the six years Daniel was a part of Trionoide Academy the school acquired numerous Solo, Ceili and Choreography Regional Championship titles, two National titles, and several Worlds placements.
In 2019, Daniel took over ownership of Trionoide Academy of Irish Dance and rebranded as the Triggle Academy of Irish Dance. Daniel wishes to continue to bring joy and success to all his students and is excited for the future of Triggle Academy.
His success continues with multiple championship titles for his dancers. Most recently, the Triggle Academy won the Senior Ladies Choreography at the World Championships 2022.
