Andy started dancing at the age of nine in Bristol, UK. He excelled competitively, becoming the North American, All Ireland, British National, Great Britain and All Scotland Champion. He also won three gold medals at the World Championships for team dancing. His professional career began alongside Michael Flatley in an arena tour of Celtic Tiger. Andy then joined Riverdance touring the world as Dance Captain of the Irish Troupe. Andy was also a member of ‘Prodijig,’ the group who went on to win Sky1’s ‘Got to Dance’ in front of a television audience of 1.2 million.
Andy has a passion for choreography, assisting in projects such as ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ and ‘Laochra.’ Andy co-directed and choreographed a version of ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ which went on to tour China for a 12-week run. Notable performances include dancing for Queen Elizabeth II and performances at Radio City Music Hall and James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show.’
In 2008, Andy became qualified as a TCRG with CLRG and has taught many workshops across the world. Andy is delighted to be a part of the Triggle Academy and to be able to have the possibility to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of Irish Dancers.
